If you use dates and bananas, it will be sweeter. You get used to them. ;-) Even my 4 year olds drink them.Wendyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01837671746294035442noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14252293.post-1560287169383953082008-03-07T14:42:00.000-07:002008-03-07T14:42:00.000-07:00Brianna I am impressed that you even tried! Romaine is not my favorite at all. Spinach or kale are much more mild and have a smoother texture. Some you might try:

2 frozen bananas
1 orange, peeled
Handful of spinach
Water to blend

2 frozen bananas
Blueberries
Handful of kale
Water to blend

The reason to liquefy the greens is for quicker and more efficient digestion and absorption. It's a quick way to get greens everyday, whereas you probably won't make a large green salad every day.

Just some thoughts :) And for the record, I really like "health nuts"..hee heeSarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05354167372400575265noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14252293.post-67704574245221273782008-03-06T23:50:00.000-07:002008-03-06T23:50:00.000-07:00I love green smoothies...they make me feel amazing...I love green smoothies...they make me feel amazing.

Bananas and spinach are one of my favorites, and sometimes I do combinations such as kale and pineapple.

It's just so easy to whip it up in a blender and it's fat free because there is no dressing on it (like I'd have with a salad). Also, it can make some "not so tasty" greens very yummy :)

It's just nice to have it as a change, too...

Cheers!Kristen's Rawhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15340522295588234162noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14252293.post-61317580220130167082008-03-06T13:43:00.000-07:002008-03-06T13:43:00.000-07:00I think it makes sense for getting it into kids, b...I think it makes sense for getting it into kids, but I am definitely in that salad for dinner smoothie for breakfast camp.Rachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14045685748766431789noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14252293.post-31357451404610280132008-03-06T13:40:00.000-07:002008-03-06T13:40:00.000-07:00I TOLD you it would be gross!! but then, I even ha...I TOLD you it would be gross!! but then, I even hate fruity vinagrete on my salad and I don't like it when my food touches so ...Jacquelynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10952038602431921394noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14252293.post-83421907666734116282008-03-06T12:52:00.000-07:002008-03-06T12:52:00.000-07:00I would have quit too. :)I would have quit too. :)I am Katy,https://www.blogger.com/profile/10533810508812296898noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14252293.post-42214545828473485522008-03-06T12:18:00.000-07:002008-03-06T12:18:00.000-07:00Woohoo! Before our kids are old enough to chew lettuce it is a good way to get some raw greens into them. We started out with just a little bit and were able to add more as our tastes changed. I wouldn't start out with a whole blender full. Baby steps Brianna!Samanthahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10716255507128638406noreply@blogger.com
