Not just fun stories with neat characters, or stories from the latest Veggie Tales DVD, but stories directly from God, which they also had access to. Okay, so they couldn't even spell their own name, but you gotta start somewhere?! :)

(By the way, the 2/3 bible snobbery came in the form of the little pink and blue Bible that Grace gives each newborn baby!)Jeannetthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05378569765609750176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14252293.post-61540644423001794892008-03-12T11:56:00.000-06:002008-03-12T11:56:00.000-06:00So funny! I sort of thought that she would be shy but she was super interested in the story and the lesson and was super friendly. I had to tell her like 4times to sit back down on her carpet square (which is a good thing) becuase she was so interested in the lesson and wanted to be nice and close to see everything that was going on! What a sweet girl! She is a great addition to the class.Jason and Annahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16330696819301437195noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14252293.post-30475323195394139912008-03-12T10:21:00.000-06:002008-03-12T10:21:00.000-06:00yeah i know grace makes a huge deal about bringing...yeah i know grace makes a huge deal about bringing your own Bible to church--didn't realize that applied to four year olds that don't read!

at any rate if they stress it in the class i'll send her with one so she won't feel bad, and so we won't be rebels. :) on a side-note i hope to teach my kids that loving and thirsting for God and His word is so much more than carrying your own Bible to church--and that we should never use it as a litmus test for if someone does. (stepping off of soapbox now. back to our regular programming. :) and jacqueline i'm totally impressed with the spanish Bible--very multicultural! :))Brianna Heldthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08224838737334231065noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14252293.post-22794438102968538822008-03-12T08:13:00.000-06:002008-03-12T08:13:00.000-06:00Just so you know in the 4s and 5s class they reall...Just so you know in the 4s and 5s class they really stress bringing a Bible to church and the kids get an extra sticker on their attendance chart if they do - I don' believe any of them read yet but it's a great habit to start! Zak made such a big deal about it when he was in that class that I started bringing my own Bible to church instead of using the pew Bibles. Eliot also got on board and started bringing a spanish new testament to the 2s and 3s just to be like his big brother (the spanish one I have has a blue cover and matched his favorite "church shirt").Jacquelynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10952038602431921394noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14252293.post-38895553644482578282008-03-12T00:16:00.000-06:002008-03-12T00:16:00.000-06:00That's pretty cute!
