Hi! I'm Brianna, and welcome to my blog.

I started blogging in 2005 to share about our Ethiopian adoption process. (We brought home twin boys in 2006.) What began as a simple way to chronicle our journey has become an outlet to keep in touch with friends, share my heart, meet dear people from all over the world, and process through my personal thoughts.

I love writing about my husband Kevin, my five children, adoption, homeschooling, and my life here in sunny Denver, Colorado. God is continually teaching me to move beyond myself, out of my comfort zone, and that there is profound beauty and spectacular joy in the mundane. (Yes, that includes the never-ending piles of laundry! But maybe not scrubbing the shower.)

What else should you know about me?

I:
am an introvert,
love ethnic food,
live in an old 1912 brick bungalow (with kitchen cabinets that don't really close),
am obsessed with reading,
love to laugh,
buy most things second-hand,
could spend 24 hours a day with my husband and not get tired of him,
am afraid of the dentist,
adore reading Roman Catholic authors,
think my blog template is way too foofy (but it was free),
don't like whining (from adults, kids, or otherwise),
enjoy sarcasm,
hate celebrity gossip,
had three chidren ages 2 and under at one point and lived to tell about it.

I also want to tell you that I volunteer with an amazing organization, From HIV to Home, that seeks to pave a way home for the world's HIV+ orphans.

I think that's it. I hope you enjoy reading along!
