Only 5 1/2 weeks to go!

Well here is a lovely profile view of my growing self. I cannot believe that next month our baby girl will be born! We have her crib all set up in Anna's room with the new dresser that the girls will share (it is so crazy to think that Anna will be sharing her room before too long). The baby will be using Anna's crib bedding --I really like it and this way we don't have to buy new; I know, hand-me-downs already. We still need to set up the bassinet in our room and get Anna's old newborn clothes out of the attic, but things are definitely feeling more "real." Meanwhile the boys have been in twin beds for the past month or so and are doing great in them.

I have my twice-monthly doctor's appointment this Friday morning. For some reason the appointments get on my nerves this late in pregnancy, I guess because they're so often and routine and I feel the baby kicking constantly so I know she's okay. (Alright, a LOT of things get on my nerves this late in pregnancy!)

So that's the latest. I am getting pretty nervous about going into labor...my labor with Anna was only 6 hours start to finish. My friend, whose first labor was around 8 hours, gave birth to her second baby in only 2 hours. And the real kicker is that Kevin works over an hour away! I keep telling him this will be an impromptu home (or ambulance!) birth attended by the paramedics, Anna, Yosef and Biniam!

rWhat an exciting time for you! I love the time leading up to labor - although it can be terribly uncomfortable and irritating, like you said. :) There's just something about knowing your baby's arrival is just around the corner that is so amazing. I guess in a way I am almost in labor, too - since we are leaving in 8 days for Ethiopia!

I will pray you go into labor on a weekend or in the evening when Kevin is home!

And you look great, by the way.

You look great. I can't believe you only have 5 weeks left... time seems to go by so quickly!

Great picture. I would have reused Aubrey's bedding too, but I wanted to do something a lot more girly. Aubrey's is pretty unisex. I know you and your doctor differed on due dates. Is 5 and a half weeks yours or theirs? My friend is only off by two weeks from what her ultrasound showed so it is still in the same ball park as far as preparations go. I hope you at least have a three hour labor for all of your sakes!

oh man, you are a cutie-patootie! I am-newly-pregnant and I look like you at 4 months!! :) seriously, congrats, you are almost there. I will be praying that Kevin is there for the birth. I feel the same fears already..with my second I went from 3 to 10 cm in 30 min..and we live 30 min. from the hospital. So believe me, I will pray for you! darci :)

You are the cutest preggo lady EVER!

I can't wait until your sweet little girl arrives. Yosef and Biniam are going to be such great big brothers!

Blessings,
Renee

You look amazing. I hope I look as good this July. Also, I know what you mean about the frequent doctors trips. With my first, I was going to the doctor once a week and then for non-stress tests twice a week. I felt like I was living at the hospital.

Your growing self looks lovely. You are one of those cute pregnant women I envy...I, on the other hand, just look fat...with bad skin and bags under my eyes. My poor husband. It's any wonder the divorce rate doesn't go up during pregnancy! :)

Oh Jeannett you are silly! I don't think you look fat at all! Pregnancy is no self-esteem booster that is for sure. My face is seriously randomly red all the time now and I'm tired of gaining weight. I gain weight everywhere when I'm pregnant but it's hard when I'm hungry (for chocolate) all the time! I always envy all the other pregnant ladies b/c they look so cute to me, but I just see myself as huge. Plus clothes are just ill-fitting when you're pregnant.

Man I think you're right about the divorce rate!!!
