Link of the day

I thought this was interesting, heartfelt and worth reading. It's by an adoptive mom in Colorado on the topic of AIDS and the adoption of HIV positive children. Here is the link:

Oh Come On

Thanks for the link. This is so heart wrenching, and yet I have no idea how to help, except pray. I will admit that I know so little about AIDS/HIV that the idea of taking care of a little one with it scares me. Where can I find out more (good info)? I don't know how I could take care of a child that could die. That would definitely have to be God ordained.

Kristen there are some good resources out there to learn more about HIV/AIDS and/or the adoption of HIV positive children. I'll have to do a post that goes into more depth about it, and what I've learned about it, but here are some links offhand:

That second link is the blog of an adoptive mom, Erin, who recently brought home her daughter from Ethiopia (who happens to be HIV positive.) Erin answers HIV medical questions over the course of a few posts, lots of good info.
