We walked to the popular Sushi Den restaurant on Old South Pearl Street for dinner. It was a gorgeous summer evening and it was so nice to walk hand-in-hand and chat. I love spending time with my husband, and it was extra special to get some true alone-time together. (I won't tell you the last time we were out, just the two of us, but even if I did, I don't think you'd believe me!)
Here's to Kevin's family for watching the kiddos, and to Kevin for a wonderful evening out! Cheers!

Awww, good for you guys! Is that a Midori Sour i see in that last picture? :)
Didn't you two go out right before Kaityln was born.. for Valentine's Day?? That's my guess..
It's so strange to see pictures of you guys with "weird" surroundings that I don't recognize in the background! Since Henry's been born, I think we've been on ONE alone date...but I'm totally okay with that! I wouldn't have thought so, but it's totally fine! Albeit, I DO love the alone time too.
sarah, midori sour indeed. :) i think i maybe need to branch out a little!
becky, yep, you got it. :) we have been to a group event alone together since then, but yep, that was the last time we went on an actual date, just us.
jeannett, i feel the same--i'm totally okay not having regular date nights. (for one thing, they're expensive!) usually on special occasions we'll just get takeout after the kids go to bed. also our kids are pretty well-behaved in restaurants so we go out with them sometimes too.
Yeah.. do I get a prize:-) He he, just kidding!
i totally knew that kevin was holding a midori sour, too! glad you had such a nice date to celebrate your anniversary. and i agree with jeannett that it's weird to see unfamiliar background behind you in all the pics.
Happy anniversary! 6 years...4 bee-you-tiful kids...can't get much better than that.
I've been reading for a while and was a little worried when I saw your pictures - you are, as always, looking great, but so so thin! I'm sure it's just genetics and/or chasing after aforementioned kids.
If you want to branch out, an apple martini is a good option. Still very sweet and yummy, pomegranette (sp) martini's are also yummy.
See you tomorrow! If you didn't have the bbq afterward I would have Mike pick up some stuff for mixed drinks, but that probably wouldn't be a good idea for a lunch get together.
Happy Anniversary my friend!! It definately sounds like you and I need to do some date night babysitting co-op'ing!!
Much to the chagrin of the rest of us, Karen, Brianna is really just that thin. Sigh...
;)
HA jeannett you crack me up!
the weird part is, i think my metabolism picked UP after high school. we'll see if it's this fast five or ten years from now. :)
You do look very happy, but i was a little worried when i saw the pics too! I can't believe two kids have come out of that teeny-tiny body. :) I'd like to see you eating as many cheeseburgers and ice cream sundaes as possible. You deserve it, girl!
