When you love to read...

I promise Anna was not posed for these photos--when she gets into a book, she (obviously) will NOT put it down!
I love that my daughter is a book lover and I look forward to many wonderful conversations about things we're reading in the years to come!!!

Hi,
I have been reading your blog through my sister's, onethankfulmom, for quite awhile. I really enjoy your insights. I had to finally comment since I too had a child who tried to walk places and read...for years he would read walking home from the bus. C would weave in and out of the gravel shoulder totally oblivious to cars and people. It would take him twice as long to get home as his brother and sister. He still loves to read at age 128 and never goes anywhere without a book!

Is that a magic treehouse book? I couldn't get the picture to blow up so I could see for myself.

Yep, it's one of the Magic Treehouse books. She'll occasionally read two of them in a day! (And Rachel S. I am SO the same way too!!! It's so good to know there are others!)

That is such a great series. Every book is familiar, so kids stay engaged, yet they are wisked away into the heart of another great story. I can't wait to start reading thses kinds of books with my kids!

Yeah Rachel I love the time travel element and how they learn about different time periods. I haven't really read any cover to cover myself, but they seem really great and she enjoys them.

I love that you got some shots of her reading like this. She doesn't look posed to me...just very focused on her book. Very cute.

Emogene is the same way. I have to fuss at her a little because she sneaks it out of her desk at school while we are doing math (I'm her teacher).
We are having one final fund raising effort in the next week on my blog. It is a necklace raffle. I would love for you to stop by to see the necklaces.
