What she said

My wonderful friend Bekah emailed me the link to a post this morning.
A.ma.zing.

My heart so resonates with this woman's words...and her heart...and her hopes for her children.
I am challenged and inspired, all at the same time.
So here it is:

I knew when I read it that it would resonate with you, just as it did me. It's such an incredible reminder that our purpose in this life (and the hopes we have for our children) is ultimately not the rewards that bring momentary happiness, but finding lasting peace and love in God.

So bummed tonight didn't work out. Hope we get to hang out sometime soon.

Bekah YES! I loved it. In some ways, having that perspective feels scary...but in others...so freeing.

And please tell Miss Eva that we hope she feels well SOON! Missing you tonight!!!!

Loved that! Its how I feel, but don't quite have such an eloquent way of putting it. I do however think that the scary numbers that people like to throw at us about how much college will cost are inflated...well, unless you're wanting your kids to go ivy league. In my mind, nothing wrong with starting out at a junior college & then moving onto a state school, all within commuting distance to home...and nothing wrong with working to put yourself through school...tends to make you work harder, be more serious about it, & get it done faster.

This is regarding your comment on Joy's post:
I almost sent you a cd of his sermon - then I realized it would be much easier to download it. I thought of you the whole time! I hope you get a chance to hear it. I know your schedule may be pretty full right now, but oh, he has a heart for the children - just like you!
