Our adoption trip

I just threw together this slideshow of our Ethiopia trip. I'm in awe of how far God has brought my little boys since I first met them a little over a year ago! Enjoy!

Wow. What a perfect song. Your boys are adorable.

I'm working on one of those montage things for my daughter's 3rd birthday next month. It's so hard to choose the pictures!

I made it through the whole thing dry eyed...until the last three pictures and I was a sobbing mess. Thanks for opening our eyes to the rest of the world and helping me to understand that God made us ALL in His image, even in other countries! Perfect song by the way...

Oh, and I never saw the picture of the boys sleeping on the plane! Darling!

What a wonderful video scrapbook! It totally had me thinking about when my own kiddos came home. Now I think that I have to go give them a hug even though they are sleeping. Thank you for sharing.

AMAZING. I have no other words! What a perfect song and what a perfect family God has knit together.

I agree, perfect song...who is that by the way?
It also reminds me of when our little ones came home too, so emotional.
Thanks, that was great.
(By the way, did you stay at the Weygoss? It looks exactly like the room and area we stayed in!)

Lesley,
the song is called "It's Gonna Be Alright" by Sara Groves.

No, we stayed at the Ritmo Guesthouse, that our adoption agency (Adoption Advocates Int'l) runs. Maybe it's in the same vicinity, it's by the Vatican embassy and one of the UN buildings.

That is so moving, I watched it and cried. Then I showed it to Kelly, and cried again.

I haven't posted before, but came across your blog while seraching someone else's. We received a referral of sisters, age 4 and 2. Your video makes me anxious to ge there and bring them home. I was wondering if I could link your blog to mine.

nothing like crying your eyes out first thing in the morning. I need to get my act together and do a montage, it's so difficult to choose which photos and video footage to use, they are all so precious to us.
What is so priceless about any footage on adoption journeys is that even though the places and children are different, the footage still has that 100 percent presence of God....we are having medical issues with Jeremiah at the moment and we are trusting in the Lord big time, your video touches my heart and brings me right into the presence of God. Thankyou.

We are in the beginning stages of adopting a sib group from ET and found the link to your blog on AAI website. Enjoyed the video! Noticed you wearing a Cal Poly sweatshirt. I am a Poly alum from 1990. Any chance I know you?

Carla, how funny you went to Poly also! You probably don't know me, because I was only 9 years old when you graduated! :) (Are you still on the Central Coast???)

Congrats on your adoptions!!!
