2 years

A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows,
is God in his holy dwelling.
God sets the lonely in families.
Psalm 68:5-6

Hey Brianna! Thank you so much for posting your slide show again. I remember it touching me last year, and after watching it again, it had the same affect…and I don't even know you! :-) Your photos are very inspirational and I think it's so wonderful that you adopted Yosef and Biniam.

Hi Brianna I have seen your video on youtube and love it! Who is the artist singing? It is a beautiful song. We are on our way this week to pick up our daughter from Ethiopia! She will make child #6 for us and we are sooo thrilled.
Love your blog. Take care and God bless you and your wonderful family.

Okay, so I am weeping. There are just NO words to tell you how God has used this to speak VOLUMES to my heart. Your family has been used in so many ways to speak to my heart about God's faithfulness and the beauty of love of Christ that radiates from the pictures of your family that looks so much like mine with two girls (I have one in Heaven, too) and the beauty that your two brown sons add... well, it just speaks volumes. So I come here when I'm needing a reminder that we are doing is not crazy, that God is able, etc. Matt and I are on class #3 out of #10 to be approved as foster/adoptive parents through the state. It's a long story (it's on my blog) of how the Lord has laid two little brown boys on our hearts and we cannot shake them. Andrew is 11 months old and Stephen is almost 3 years old. There are still some steps before they're completely adoptable and stepping out on faith and believing God that we are called - at the very least - to pray for them through this season, but our hearts are hearing something more. Just last night, I endured incredible ridicule and threats from someone very dear to me if we decide to adopt these boys that are African American. We are already being persecuted for trying to bring them home.... and it's heartbreaking. So I came to your blog today (honestly more to escape my thoughts than anything) at work and loved the verse at the top, but my computer wouldn't play the video. Now, I've come in after a long talk about all God is doing w/ some friends at Starbucks and stumble across your video again. And I'm so overwhelmed. Do you know that song is Miller Grace's song? Do you know I found it just after we learned her life was in jeopardy and I've sung it adamantly ever since. I was singing it when I was in labor and trying to pretend I wasn't. We played it on repeat in Miller Grace's NICU room her entire five day life. And now, my girls beg to hear Miller Grace's song. So, here I am, opening this video that so clearly shows your faithfulness to take that leap, bring those boys home, where they've always belonged and the first second of the song put a lump in my throat. Thank you, Lord. I hear you. I'm following hard. I'm listening. And I love the way you're using everyone around me to point me to you and to our sons.

What a blessing. Hallelujah.

wow, I missed that one last time you posted it again. Beautiful beautiful boys (and little girl). That is such a moving video. Thanks for sharing so much with all of us. :) It's amazing to look at pics of the kids now and see how much they grow and change. And I want to know who sings that too. Please tell. darci :)

the song is by sara groves, and is called "it's going to be alright", off her "add to the beauty" cd. it's a great cd and sara's done some great things for rwanda, hurricane katrina victims, etc.
