Playing catch-up

We have been so incredibly busy lately.
I have been terribly unmotivated to clean.
I'm completely behind on Motivated Moms.
So today I'm catching up.

I cleaned the bathroom.
I cleaned the kitchen.
I took down the Christmas tree.

I will wash our sheets.
I will sweep and mop.
I will make dinner.

Speaking of which, tonight I'm making Grilled Orange and Bourbon Salmon. Check out my friend Joy's blog for the recipe!!!

I'm exhausted, but my counters are sparkling and it feels good to be getting caught up. I do SO MUCH tidying up, laundry, and sweeping up crumbs on a daily basis that the idea of actually CLEANING seems very daunting. That's why I'm going to give another shout-out to the Motivated Moms Chore Planner. Really. It beats trying to clean your entire home in one day by far!

You are so cute, Brianna, even far away. Since we've been living with my mother-in-love, I've learned some things (even at 55) that I am excited to implement when we move into our own home (wherever that will be). Just simple recipes I can even do, getting the dishes done immediately (instead of letting them pile up - I get lazy), just having ONE spot where I can sit and read the Bible or pray or just relax with God. Basically, just taking the time, even a few minutes to sit with God. I don't have little kids anymore, so it should be easier, right? Well, like I said, I'm lazy and I watch TV and am on the computer more than I need to be (for fun - work doesn't count). Right now things are in storage and I'm anxious to be in my own place. Maybe in the next month. Thanks for your fun stuff to read. Your kids are looking so cute and growing up so fast.

YaY for MM's!
You are encouraging me to get caught up as well. Maybe tomorrow. ;)

I just looked at Lindsey's copy yesterday and it looks really doable. I'm waiting to see how it works for her because if I get it and don't use it, I'll just feel guilty. How was the salmon? I love the pics of the kids--their matching jackets are so cute! I miss you!

Sadly Mike we do not, but we DID have a bunch of tequila, so I used that instead. :) I believe our liquor selections include: rum, tequila, midori and amarreto.

And you thought you knew me!!! :)

Hello Brianna. I hope all is going well with your family. I just thought I would let you know that we just got back from a quick trip to visit family and our blog posts are now up like they should have been last week.
