We're getting senile

Kevin recently got us a DVD to watch from the library, Oliver Stone's movie about 9/11. I saw it when he brought it home and said, oh, that looks good! We turned it on last night, and about thirty seconds into it we both looked at each other and said, "Haven't we seen this?!"

Ha! We HAD seen it, maybe about a year ago. But apparently didn't remember. Wow, we must be getting old! (Needless to say we turned it off and watched National Treasure 2 instead!)

We did the same thing a few weeks back. We realized we saw it in 2003. We still watched it since it was truly a lifetime ago, but by the end we remembered that we hadn't really liked it the first time, probably why we forgot about it. I think it was called Tears of the Sun.

Ha! Glad it's not just us! (We both actually really loved that movie! But we like most anything set in Africa.)

I liked the overall theme and what not, I just wanted to scream at the doctor. "You are in danger, you need to trust these men and tell them the truth. You are going to get everyone killed! You can rest when you get to your destination!" But I don't think she would have heard me.

Ha! Yes I often want to talk to people on TV and in the movies. But you're right, sadly, they would just not hear us!

i do this all the time, but it usually doesn't seem familiar to me until my husband tells me that i've seen it before and reminds me what happens. it sometimes comes in handy though. a few years back my husband got me a season of law&order:ci on dvd. about once a year, i watch them again and i've completely forgotten what happens. :)
